Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to:

  • nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • work for justice and peace; and
  • build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Women's Circle (Bible Studies)/Monthly Luncheon

PW/Circle meets on the second Wednesday of each month from September through May in the Hospitality Area at 10:00 am  Please join us for our Horizons Bible Study, “Who is Jesus? What a Difference a Lens Makes”, led by Rev. Deb Meinke.  Following the bible study a light lunch is served.  There is no charge for the lunch and reservations are not required.  All women are invited to attend.

Second Mile Sewing

Second Mile Sewing meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of each month 9:15 am to 12:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. Second Mile exists to provide charitable services to the Church and our community. The fellowship is warm and the mission projects are relevant. A project can be found to fit each individual - knitting, quilting, sewing, and more.

Bowling League
The women of First Presbyterian have bowling teams as part of a city league. Bowling takes place on
Thursday mornings September to May. It's good fun, fellowship, and friendly competition. We would love to have you as a part of our teams!
