Fair Trade Store

An ongoing project of the World Mission and Denominational Concerns Committee is a fair trade store in the church building that is open year round.

The Fair Trade Store is usually open each Sunday from 10:30am to 12:30pm, and by appointment. The store is located on the first floor in room 103 by the library and restrooms, and is stocked with jewelry, folk art, coffee, tea, chocolate, household goods, and much more!

A group volunteers help run the FTS each Sunday, and Julie Bills is the manager who does all the ordering of products.  Please join the Fair Trade Store’s Facebook page to see what new merchandise is available at Stillwater FPC Fair Trade Store.

If you would like to volunteer to work in the Fair Trade Store or if you would like to set up an appointment to shop outside of Sunday hours, contact Julie Bills or call 405-880-4072.

We look forward to welcoming you to the FPC Fair Trade Store!

What is “fair trade”?

Fair trade is an arrangement designed to help producers in growing countries achieve sustainable and equitable trade relationships. Members of the fair trade movement add the payment of higher prices to exporters, as well as improved social and environmental standards.

Some of the principles of Fair trade include:

    • Creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers
    • Paying a fair price for goods
    • Ensuring no child labor and/or forced labor is used
    • Committing to non-discrimination and gender equality
    • Ensuring good working conditions
    • Respecting the environment
