Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to:

  • nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • work for justice and peace; and
  • build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Women's Circle Monthly Bible Study

PW/Circle meets on the second Wednesday of each month from September through May. During this time of Covid-19, we are meeting in-person and spaced in the FPC Fellowship Hall as well as virtually, via Zoom, each month at 10:00 am. For 2021-2022, the PW Bible Study is "What My Grandmothers Taught Me: Learning from the Women in Matthew's Genealogy of Jesus" led by Pastor Leah Hrachovec. For more information, or to join in the monthly Bible Study, please contact the Church Office at or (405) 372-5580.

Second Mile Sewing

Second Mile Sewing meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of each month 9:15 am to 12:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. Second Mile exists to provide charitable services to the Church and our community. The fellowship is warm and the mission projects are relevant. A project can be found to fit each individual - knitting, quilting, sewing, and more. Currently the Second Mile Sewers have been kept busy sewing reusable cloth face masks for workers and volunteers at Stillwater Medical Center, First Presbyterian Church, and other organizations here in Stillwater.

Bowling League
The women of First Presbyterian have bowling teams as part of a city league. Bowling takes place on
Thursday mornings September to May. It's good fun, fellowship, and friendly competition. We would love to have you as a part of our teams!
