Youth Group

All 6th-12th graders are invited to join us for fun, fellowship, study, and service as we deepen our faith and live out our faith together.

Due to the COVID pandemic, all youth events will be outside and masks are required. PYG will meet in the FPC Courtyard.

Zoom links for all events are sent via email. Please email Jenna Campbell, Director of Children and Youth Ministry, at jenna.campbell@stillwaterfpc.org to receive the weekly email.

Our PYG theme for this year is Matthew 25. We will be talking about how our faith moves us to action, particularly in areas of justice. Stillwater FPC has recently become a Matthew 25 congregation. You can learn more about the Matthew 25 initiative here. The Matthew 25 initiative focuses on three areas:

  • Building congregational vitality – deepening faith by actively and joyfully engaging the community and the world
  • Dismantling structural racism
  • Eradicating systemic poverty

Through an in-depth study of Matthew 25, we will consider how we see Christ in others. Informed and inspired with a firm foundation in scripture, we’ll reflect on issues of structural racism and systemic poverty to see how our faith and God’s call for justice informs our response. The focus will be on scripture, as well as on learning together about the issues and possible responses as people of faith. We will model how to have conversations even when we might not agree and we’ll model that our faith speaks to what’s happening in the world around us. At the end of the year, our youth will make recommendations to our church leadership for more faithful responses we can be making in our community.
