What to expect when joining us in person
- The best entrance to the main building is under the portico facing the alleyway and parking lot.
- The parking lot is located on the corner of 6th Avenue and Duck Street. Additional parking is available along 5th Street and Duncan Street. Accessible parking spots are located in the alleyway between the two buildings.
- As you enter, a greeter will welcome you, and an usher will provide you with an order of worship.
- A nursery is available for children ages 0-4 years in the Preschool Wing (far north wing) of the main building.
- Coffee is available in our Hospitality Area before and after Sunday worship.
- Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. We practice an open table, where our Lord Jesus Christ invites all to join in the feast!
- Come as you are! All are welcome!
Worshiping with Children?
We love to have children in worship; their wiggles and noises are welcome and often evoke a smile or helpful hands from the community. We are most fully the people of God when we are gathered for worship, service, learning, and fellowship together with all ages. We learn, worship, serve and build community best when we honor the perspectives and gifts of all ages. We invite families to use our liturgical library, sensory rooms or nursery as needed.
Childcare for children ages 0-4 will be available during summer worship services in Room 101, located down the first-floor south hallway of the main building, just past the restrooms and the Fair Trade Store. All nursery workers and volunteers have completed our Child Protection Training, and at least two adults (18+) are always present with the children.
To learn more about children in worship, faith milestones or our childcare options, visit the children's ministry page.
Team Neurodiversity
Team Neurodiversity was formed in the fall of 2024 to expand inclusivity and understanding of neurodiversity in our church through accommodations and education, so everyone can experience God’s support, love, and grace together. The church setting can often be overwhelming and cause sensory overload for neurodivergent individuals. Neurodivergent conditions include autism, ADHD, OCD, Tourette’s Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, Fragile X Syndrome and others.
Team Neurodiversity currently has four major initiatives in progress:
- A sensory room geared toward children along the south first-floor hallway
- A space geared toward youth and adults in the Worship Center
- An intergenerational liturgical library housed in the narthex that will provide neuro-affirming tools for individuals of all ages to utilize throughout the worship service to regulate
- Congregational education pieces to be shared regularly on various aspects of neurodiversity.
To learn more about each of these spaces, visit our initiatives section.
